What the extension does

When you click Pixl Scribe on a YouTube video, the extension reads transcript text that is open in the page and formats it in your browser for copying or downloading. It does not automatically scan videos in the background.

What stays local

Pixl Scribe does not send transcript text, video URLs, or browsing history to Pixl Envy. It does not keep transcript history. It stores only the month and count of successful exports in Chrome local storage to apply the free monthly limit.

How your data is used

Pixl Scribe uses the transcript you open only to create the copy or download you request. It does not transfer transcript or browsing data to Pixl Envy or third parties, use it for advertising, or allow our staff to read it. Our use of information received through Chrome APIs follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Permissions

activeTab and scripting let the extension read the open transcript on the current tab after you click it. downloads saves an export when you request it. storage keeps the monthly export counter on your device.

Website

This product website has no analytics, ad trackers, account form, or transcript upload. Your browser and hosting provider may process ordinary network requests needed to deliver the page.
